    Joe,

As much as many of us would love to give burglars a little shock, you will open yourself up to a huge lawsuit.

Why not try replacing the screws with security screws? You know, screws with a star shape or Torx?

As suggested the Torx work really well. The pin Torx work even better.

Install a 4 inch industrial spring loaded and maxed to 140 degrees wiht a 3 second release...when he removes the screws the flap will slap him into next Tuesday.  Don't forget to tell your repair crew.  No, don't do that....Paulie's liability thing will ruin the fun.

The key is to have your alarm system so tweaked that within a few seconds ... a well equipped person(s) gets there to respond.... every second counts.  The shock can come later when the rascal(s) is ... are held accountable by a reasonably pro business owner judge!

The criminal might be muttering to him or herself for the rest of their lives .... how did dey get der within seconds ... I dod dat no system .... was quick enough to match me & my "wobeen hood" crew ...x@?#?%?*!!!

    Joseph,

The real question is why is he removing that panel?

    What's in it for him?

Larry:  My guess is he is looking for loose change to finish a wash or dry.  Maybe looking for brass or copper wire ??
