CCI Fascard F2

I'm installing the new CCI Fascard F2 in my new laundromat. I heard that the F2 came out early 2018. Has anyone installed this system ? I have struggled with the machine vendor and CCI to get this working on an Alliance brand stacked tumblers for over 6 WEEKS. The washing machines are working fine. The stacked tumblers use only one reader to control upper/upper dryers. First, it took 3 weeks to get the correct cables. Then, machine vendor tech visited no less than 6 times ( whole day )  to installed the systems and debug issues. On, week 4 we have all but one dryer not working. I myself have spend 6 hours on tech support with CCI. I feel that my store is a prototype and first installation. CCI techs for 2 weeks tried to reproduced the issues that I am encountering with no success. Still wait for the final dryer to be fixed.

    Hello Jason,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble, the 'Stack Add On' feature was introduced mid 2018 and is an exclusive option from CCI.  We have many stores who are using it across various makes and model stack dryers, there may be something unique with your particular model.  If you can get me your account number I make sure we have the right resources working on the issue here at CCI.  I'm confident we can get everything working correctly.

    Regards,

    Steve

I've been a cci fascard user since the beginning. Customer number 4. Just upgraded and installed the new f2 readers and the devil is in the details for the Dryers. I ended up using pulse for all stack Dryers using pulse harnesses on alliance quantum gold equipment as this allowed me to set them up where the customer could select the amount of time they wanted to vend and only swipe their card once. We also were able to put the single pocket Dryers in pulse mode with the non pulse harness by setting some options in the dryer firmware.

CCI was helpful all the way and I can't wait until apple/google pay goes live.

    One happy owner. 😎

    Ben,

You're either a glutton for punishment or a techie who has to have the latest and greatest.   I  learned not to offer myself up as a manufacturer ginnie pig 40 years ago.  I  want a new product to be out at least 2 years before I  buy it.  So good luck.

I switched from F! to F2 a few weeks ago with no problems.  I did use a reader for each pocket so I can use dual coin drop as well.
I love the feature that allows me to discount credit card users.  By charging a higher price for coins should help reduce cash coming into the store and all the associated hassles.
CCI has always come through for me.  I'm sure they want this working for you too. Your in good hands.

I appreciate this thread... I have been a customer of fascard system since I purchased the laundromat a little bit ago ... so far not a huge fan and considering other options... The equipment features seems very dated and website is cumbersome and appears to use web features from perhaps a decade ago - wondering if their upgrade will be worth the expense for more of the same or if just scrapping their system for a different vendor would be a better way to go (or if just sticking with what is in place would be the cost effective alternative)... I would be interested in an update of your experience when you get a chance and will be watching closely for details. Thanks again for this post thread... it is very timely for my decision making...

A lot of us are watching closely.

As far as I can tell, the time is right, but the current offerings don't cut the mustard.

So I spent about 3 hrs today with the CCI tech. It appears one issue is that you cannot test dryers with the coin box out as the dryer goes into program mode.

Then there is another issue when using the manager card on the cci reader, it did not show the 'start dryer'  menu on the reader. This was due to the with differences in credit between the cci card reader and the dryer console. We had to wait for the credits on the both where empty or used up.
    1. let the credit on the reader be used up to so the status is idle.
    2. powered down the dryer
    3. switch the coin drop cable ( 3 wire red, white, black ) in the dryer console to the coin drop harness instead of the cci reader ( both pockets )
    4. set dip switch 3 to off

    5. power up dryer
    6. drop a coin into the slot and startup the dryer ( both pockets )
    7. wait for time to be used up.
    8. power down the dryer
    9. switch coin drop cables back to cci reader ( both pockets )
    10. set dip switch 3 back to on  ( both pockets )
    11. power up dryer.

It also appeared to have a bad cable. C6250-144. I removed this cable and plugged it into an adjacent working machine. Use the management card to put cci read in diagnostic mode. The coin drops did not register. But, I used a test meter and the 'bad' cable had continuity. So dont know. I hope there is more too it than that and the new cable resolve my problem.

I keep getting tempted by these guys, then I go to their website and wander off, uninterested.

Their website is terrible, clearly they had some good graphics folks, but there is zero information on it.  They don't even explain how it works.  There is a brochure with no info you can download.  Not a hint of pricing or ongoing cost, no listing of distributors, no pictures of how it wires in, nothing.

Combined with stories of their back-end web interface being a decade out of date, I wonder if these guys are just coasting as the only game in town.

Because you guys have me scratching my head; yes our biggest machines are expensive enough that quarters are a royal hassle.  I would use a credit card given the choice.  But this company has not impressed me at all, I looked into them before I bought my store because I believe we're moving cashless.  But how they're making sales is beyond me.

So the new wire was installed and it work. Im ready for business now. Unfortunately, I did the work all myself with the help of a CCI tech who was quite knowledgeable. These are new machines I should not have been doing this as the vendor should have taken care of this. If I left this to the vendor, it would have dragged on for weeks. I would need to schedule a vendor tech to visit and diagnose the issue, then order the part and wait for another scheduled vendor tech visit. Glad this is behind now ;)
