How to Start...?

    Good Morning Everyone -

For at least the past year, I've conducted research, taken the necessary steps to establish my business, i.e. EIN#, DBA, etc, attended workshops and worked with several equipment distributors.  I've considered startup in a leased location, but the owner decided to sell the building, I've considered leasing a space that was previously a laundromat, however the square footage costs was too expensive and finally, I've considered buying an established laundromat, but the locations for sale have either been crappy and in crappy locations or too expensive for me at this point.

Any advice you can offer would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Evelyn,

How much money do you have to invest?  Good laundromats are not cheap and bad laundromats are even more expensive.

    Evelyn,

Sounds like you've done your homework. Just like graduating from a college earns a degree, it doesn't get you a good job.

Finding a "good" Laundromat is very hard; as hard as finding a good job for a recent college graduate.  They are few good Laundromats available and too many people with money looking for them.

The hardest work you will ever do in this business, in my opinion, is finding a "good" Laundromat to buy or develop. It may take a year or more, but it's worth the effort. Just continue to carefully continue your quest.
