Dryer screen replacement redux

More than a year ago, there was a thread on replacing dryer screen.  I have Dexter double stacks.  I ordered some replacement screens from the manufacturer, they were just regular screen, cut to size and cost a fortune.

Then I bought a roll of aluminum screen-door screen and replaced most of them, but the screen didn't hold up, so I bought this

And it was really easy to work with...but is already bowing out and not going to last for the long-haul.  I am really big on lint control because of my HVAC.

Now I want to use stainless steel.  Has anyone used this?  Where to buy it?  Is it easy to work with?  Can you buy a roll, or is it too stiff?

Has anyone used a good replacement screen?  Where to buy?

Somebody way back when suggested using "pet screen".  We tried it and it works great.  We get it at our local hardware store.
It holds up really well.  The discussion may have been before this new board started.

Your local glass shop should have a variety of screen, including pet screen.  We went to an industrial supply shop to purchase SS screen for a custom screen door we needed for the home to keep the mountain critters out, good stuff but very expensive.

The product I posted is what the last thread recommended as "pet screen", it's really strong.  Just not great for lint control.

I think stainless is the way to go.  Hardware stores don't really have that, it's not common.

All the metal screens will get "metal fatigue" from people cleaning them and they will eventually rip.
ADC is the only company I know that has permanent metal screens that do not rip. I had ADC-330's with metal screens for 25 years...not 1 rip or tear.

For my Dexters I did recommend "Pet-D-Fence" polyester screening material some years ago on this BB. They have since changed their name.
Don't just clamp it in though. I clamped it in AND siliconed the entire perimeter so there were no "pull points" at the screws.

That's the same stuff I'm already using, I took your advice.

    Problem, it's starting to stretch.

    Luigi,

Nothing is going to last forever, but this material has the best chance. No?
