CLA Connect LIVE Participant Guidelines
The Coin Laundry Association (CLA) has a policy of strict compliance with federal and state antitrust laws. The antitrust laws prohibit competitors from engaging in actions that could result in an unreasonable restraint of trade. Consequently, CLA members must avoid discussing the following topics when they are together, both at formal association membership, board, committee and other meetings and in informal contacts with other industry members: prices, fees, rates, profit margins or other terms or conditions of sale (including allowances, credit terms and warranties); allocation of markets or customers or division of territories; and refusals to deal with or boycotts of suppliers, customers or other third parties or topics that may lead participants not to deal with a particular supplier, customer or third party.
CLA welcomes and encourages manufacturer, distributor and brokers’ personnel to be involved and support its mission, goals and efforts. CLA also recognizes that manufacturer, distributor and brokers operate as competitors and as such, will practice caution to ensure that no individual group is favored over another and will not endorse any one product, brand or company.
With the exception of acknowledging their membership in the organization or recognizing their support of an event, CLA Connect Live events will not be a means to directly promote a product, brand or company. Equal opportunity will be granted to all organizations and other than the general provision of information, direct sales activities will be otherwise strictly prohibited. Attendees may give out business cards as requested, but are not permitted to distribute company promotional literature, brochures or sales materials in any form to other attendees during their program. Participation in CLA events will be done with the interest of promoting the mission, not conducting sales.
To promote participation and camaraderie, attendees agree to observe the following courtesies:
- Be respectful to competitors and fellow members.
- Cooperate with CLA leaders, staff and members and follow established guidelines.
- Be involved solely for the benefit of the industry and CLA.
