Why Choose the Laundry Business: Learn from the Experts

June 25 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

$49.00
Why Choose Laundry?

Are you an entrepreneur looking for a new business venture? Do you want the opportunity to give back to a community while earning a return on your investment? Then, the self-service laundry industry may be for you.

Join CLA for this program for potential investors who are considering opening a laundromat. CLA will host three successful store operators to share their expertise of the laundry industry in this virtual program. Attendees will learn why panelists chose laundry, the pros and cons of the business, and the key things you need to know to get started in the laundry business. The program will allow plenty of time to ask your questions of the panelists.

Panelists include:

  • Paul Hansen, Owner, Su Nueva Lavanderia, and member of CLA Board
  • Paul Pettefer, Owner, Laundry World, and member of CLA Board
  • Yvette Morton Williams, Owner, Wash & Spin Coin Laundry
  • Facilitator Brian Wallace, President/CEO, Coin Laundry Association

Among the topics to be discussed during this wide-ranging, expert panel will include:

  • Separating the truths from the myths about laundromat ownership.
  • Understanding the real financial and time requirements involved.
  • Discussion of common questions about buying an existing laundromat versus building a new laundromat from scratch.
  • Exploring some of the most common mistakes made by first-time laundromat owners and guidance on how to make your first venture successful.

The cost to attend this program is $49. Each person who registers will receive a recording of the program.

Paul Hansen was in Commercial Banking when he purchased his first 2 stores in 2004. Since then he’s purchased 2 more stores, built a small route business and started a small regional commercial laundry equipment repair business.  All of Paul’s 4 coin laundry stores do a robust WDF and Commercial WDF business. Paul says his key learnings in the coin laundry industry are all about how to get the most from your stores via remodeling, repowering with equipment and tweaking the equipment and layout, and building a positive team to take care of your customers and your WDF business. Pauls is a Multi-preneur, having also started Christian Ministry adventures, and is now headlong into launching a new Craft Barbecue Joint, @PaulsRibShack,  because he loves to make friends and share stuff he is good at! So if you pass through his town, the @BishopofBBQ would love for you to stop by and #GetOntheRibList!
