Laundry_One_Show.jpgNearly 100 laundry owners and managers attended Laundry One’s inaugural open house and service school at the company’s headquarters in Canal Winchester, Ohio.

The event featured a presentation by Coin Laundry Association COO Michael Sokolowski, who discussed “Industry Trends: 10 Ways to Increase Store Profitability.” In addition, Dexter Financial’s Director of Portfolio Development Leo Frazier updated attendees on the current status of Section 179 under the new Tax Cuts & Jobs Act. Also, freelance writer Laurence Cohen offered a look at some of the more unique laundromats across the U.S.

In addition to the educational sessions, the open house featured the latest products from Dexter Laundry. Other industry vendors on hand included the Coin Laundry Association, Laundry Creative, SpyderWash, Brown Supply, Standard Change-Makers, Imonex, NATCO, Monarch Coin & Security, Greenwald Industries, Dexter Financial Services and Card Concepts Inc.

Breakfast, lunch and dessert were provided by a selection of Central Ohio’s top-rated food trucks: The Early Bird Coffee & Bakery Truck, Blue Olive Food Truck Catering, The Paddy Wagon Food Truck Catering and Johnson’s Real Ice Cream Truck.

All attendees who preregistered for the open house were entered into a grand prize drawing to win $5,000, $1,500 and $750 in Laundry One credits toward equipment, parts and service.

“We are thankful for all of the people who attended the open house and benefitted from our passion and comprehensive knowledge about the industry,” said Kelly Kantor, Laundry One marketing director. “The event was an incredible success due to your overwhelming support, and we are already working on making the event even better for next year. We will soon be announcing the dates for a lineup of service schools we will host at the Laundry One Training Center in spring 2019”

“We are pleased to announce Laundry One’s expansion to a second branch in Indianapolis,” noted Daniel Duckworth, general manager for Laundry One. “We’ve been pleased to have such a tremendous amount of growth in such a short period time. We can attribute that to our extremely dedicated team and strong manufacturer relationships. We have an incredible amount of support, and we're constantly opening our doors to welcome industry veterans to our team.”

“Dexter Laundry is very excited to support Laundry One’s expansion to the Indianapolis branch and is impressed with how well the business is being run by the experienced Laundry One team,” stated Rick Case, Dexter’s regional sales manager.
