Help Us to Stop Laundry Tax

Stop Laundry Tax

Support Our Advocacy Efforts

Across the nation, taxes remain among the top concerns for small business owners. Laundry businesses are certainly not the exception! The Coin Laundry Association (CLA) monitors proposed legislation throughout the country, especially that which concerns levying sales tax on services such as vended laundry. The CLA is committed to ensuring that all self-service laundries remain exempt from sales tax.

We Need Your Help

Advocacy does not come cheaply. Our organization annually invests tens of thousands of dollars to:

  • Hire lobbyists who work hard to reach legislators and other people and organizations of influence,
  • Communicate our findings and efforts,
  • Promote awareness of the threat of laundry taxes to business owners, communities, and governments.

If each CLA member gave a small donation every year of at least $100 on up to just $1000, we could ensure potential savings of up to 7.5%, 8%, and up to 10+% for laundry owners' bottom lines and subsequent price savings for laundromat customers.

How much could that mean for your business?

In Nebraska, recently, due to the CLA's lobbying against a proposed sales tax bill, laundromat owners were spared what could have been a crippling tax. Had this bill passed, all laundry owners would have had to have paid 7.5% of their gross sales to the state each year, costing the average owner at least $7,500 - $15,000 per year!

Just a Small Donation Can Do Great Things

Your generous donation goes directly toward helping to eliminate the threat of laundry tax. While your donation is not tax-deductible, it does mean that your fellow small business owners in the laundry industry have a fighting chance to maintain their much-needed services within their communities. It's the fair and most beneficial way to operate this very unique kind of business.

Simply fill out the form on the page, and you will be directed to PayPal to complete your donation safely and securely.
