About the Coin Laundry Association

Who We Are

Established in 1960, the Coin Laundry Association is the largest trade association dedicated to the self-service laundry industry. Headquartered in Oakbrook Terrace, Ill., CLA is a national not-for-profit trade organization and our members include laundry owners, prospective laundry owners, equipment distributors and manufacturers. CLA is guided by a Board of Directors and an 11-person staff.

Over the past 55 years, CLA has helped thousands of laundry operators get the most from their businesses. By working together, the laundry industry can continue to grow in size, quality, profitability and service to the public.

In 2006, CLA started the LaundryCares Foundation to give back to the communities that have supported the self-service laundry industry. LaundryCares was established as a charitable 501(c)3 foundation, with the mission of providing laundry services and education to those in need. The continued success of the LaundryCares Foundation comes from those who support our mission by volunteering their time, donating and hosting free Laundry Day events.

The mission of the Coin Laundry Association is to advance the self-service laundry industry and improve the customer experience by providing store operators with the industry research, education and other resources required to be better, more successful business owners.
