Most Recent Developments
Illinois
After months of political activity, the Illinois legislature and Governor decided there will be no changes to tariff rates for commercial electricity accounts (except for a limited number of small accounts) through at least May 2008. Most businesses will continue to pay the tariff rate increases of up to 70% that went into effect in January 2007. In order to create budget certainty and savings, you may choose a competitive supplier to provide electricity at prices below the increased tariff rates.
Maryland
Maryland businesses of all sizes can take advantage of an aggregated portfolio. The Utility Savings Plus program actively manages your electricity costs in this portfolio, utilizing a combination of fixed and floating market-based prices. Maryland markets have been hitting low price points in recent weeks, creating potential savings for your business. Maryland Aggregation Portfolio (MAP) - available via CLA's Utility Savings Plus - continually takes advantage of price drops like these and seeks to mitigate short-term market volatility while providing a stable, long-term solution.
New York
If you have business locations in NY you may be able to decrease electricity costs and remove the threat of future electricity price increases. Peak hurricane season continues through October. Now is the time to consider a locked-in fixed electricity price to protect your business from future price increases.
Texas
Texas businesses can access competitive pricing and products. If your electricity contract is expiring within the next 12 months, now is the time to explore competitive supply. Protect your business, find current savings, and secure budget-certainty by utilizing CLA's Utility Savings Plus program.
